Sten Klos

IN COLLABORATION WITH

A piece of history.

Crafted with Cornish tin, a metal with a rich history in Cornwall, this ring is a symbol of heritage and tradition. The surface texture changes over the years, collecting the history of the user with every scrape, dent and knock, all while being polished by daily wear. It is named the 'sten klos' translating to 'tin ring' in the Cornish language.

This design features a piece of locally found sea glass. Finding sea glass is a calming pastime that holds a special place in many peoples' hearts, evoking memories of warm summer days spent exploring sandy beaches. I set out to explore emotional design, learning how a connection to a singular piece of glass found on the beach could be held dearly to the user.
